Investment Philosophy and Approach
Drawing from the recommendations in the Odlum Brown Model Portfolio, Christopher focuses on managing diversified portfolios of high-quality securities for his clients with a long-term view. Recognizing the different objectives and risk tolerance levels of his clients, Christopher customizes each portfolio to best reflect their personal needs. Christopher seeks to provide comprehensive investment solutions to high net worth individuals, as well as investors seeking to build wealth over time through prudent and timely investment advice.
Consistent with Odlum Brown's investment approach, Christopher focuses on good companies with solid balance sheets trading below their fundamental valuations. This strategy allows him to create long-term wealth for clients while minimizing risk. His fixed income philosophy is to buy a diverse ladder of investment grade corporate bonds with short terms to maturity in a cross-section of industries.
Background
Originally from Vancouver, Christopher obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University (2006) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder (2015).
An avid equestrian, Christopher has travelled extensively throughout North America and Europe, competing at the Grand Prix level of international show jumping competitions. Within the community, Christopher has been an active volunteer with the Douglas Park Community Foundation and Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Christopher is currently serving as a board member of Equestrian Canada and sits on two of their committees.
Christopher lives in Vancouver with his wife, Andrea, and their three children.
