Working with Clients

Kwame’s clients range from executives and business owners to nurses and teachers. Every one of them has a wealth situation specific to their lifestyle aspirations, and he models his advice and services to fit their needs. He makes a point to understand their explicit goals and possible constraints, and to build a service model that is tailored to them.

Kwame leverages the highly successful investment analysis of the Odlum Brown Research Department as well as his planning and portfolio management experience to provide a custom, one-on-one advisory experience.

Most importantly, as the world becomes increasingly complex, being able to navigate through the noise is no longer a task that can bear divided attention. Kwame gives his clients back their time to focus on what’s important: family, work – whatever fuels them.

Community

Kwame is currently President of CFA Society Okanagan, an extension of CFA Institute designed to provide support and create value for the local membership on a national and global scale. Additionally, he serves on the Organizing Committee for MOTIONBALL: Marathon of Sports in Kelowna. As a national non-profit that empowers young Canadians to be leaders in their communities, MOTIONBALL raises funds and awareness for Special Olympics through integrated social and sporting events.

Kwame is also an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, periodically teaching an upper-level Investments course during the academic year.

Background

Kwame joined Odlum Brown in 2013, working initially on company/industry analysis and portfolio construction as well as retirement planning and lifestyle risk assessment with Odlum Brown Financial Services Limited. Along the way, he attained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, globally recognized as the gold standard for investment professionals in any part of the financial industry.

Kwame was born in Ghana and spent his childhood living in the U.S. before settling down in Kelowna, BC. He is an avid winter (un)enthusiast, and is known to enjoy a good book when he has a little downtime.
