Sonia’s primary objective is to understand her clients, to find out what is important to them, and why. It is through this natural relationship-building process that she gains insight into what a client’s wealth means to them, and what it is meant to accomplish. With this as the backbone of her practice, Sonia puts her clients’ financial picture at the forefront of every decision and recommendation she makes.
Sonia believes the best investment strategy is one that achieves the needs of the individual or business for which it is being implemented. There is no one-size-fits-all investment solution. Bringing multiple disciplines to the table and leveraging Odlum Brown’s independent and unbiased research, investment portfolios are constructed in the context of client goals and comfort levels, and overseen with a continual focus on risk management and tax efficiency to achieve wealth preservation and growth.
Clients’ objectives and circumstances change over time. Sonia engages in ongoing communication, financial projections* and other assessments as often as client needs dictate.
Sonia began her career in financial services in 1993 after earning her Associate Degree from BCIT’s Financial Management Program. She has since amassed over two decades of ongoing education and experience, advising clients in all walks of life.
Sonia works closely with other professionals (i.e., clients’ accountants and lawyers) to ensure everyone is on the same page to achieving the client’s goals.
